This is the third and final series of the Collage Project. In this last phase, I began to incorporate the original photographs I had collected from flea markets and second hand shops; whereas in the first and second phases of the project I had made copies in order to preserve the originals. This time I started from the photos themselves broadening their edges and widening the range of view. The photographs became a matrix for larger compositions, transcending into something else entirely. Our perception of today’s world is constantly fragmented into a multitude of data and images and so are these collages – each one containing fragments that piece together a unique vision and give the images a new relevance in the present-day.
